This high‑tech classroom is designed to support collaborative, project‑based learning. It features individual workstations arranged around the room to give student teams ample space to create and experiment. Designed for a capacity of 54, the environment blends flexibility with functionality—ideal for hands‑on, experiential learning courses where interaction, problem‑solving, and real‑world application. Integrated technology and adaptable layouts make it easy for instructors to guide team activities, facilitate discussions, and foster an engaging, dynamic learning experience.

This is a shared learning environment, and we ask all users to help care for it.
- Furniture may be moved to support your activity or class.
- Please return tables, chairs, and equipment to their original locations
when you are finished. - Clean up after yourself, including disposing of trash and wiping down
surfaces as needed. - Treat the space and furnishings with care, as you would your own
home, dorm, or living area.
Leaving the space ready for the next group helps ensure it remains functional, welcoming, and available for everyone.
No food is allowed in the ACES Learning and Innovation Lab classroom or computer labs. The only acceptable items are drinks in a closed container. Seating and vending machines are located immediately outside of the ALIL classrooms and on the first floor of LIAC.
The ACES Learning Innovation Laboratory is intended for academic use by students and faculty, including courses, group work, and individual study. Conference rooms located on the first floor are primarily designated for events.
The Learning Innovation Lab classroom is located in the basement of the ACES Library, Information, and Alumni Center (LIAC), 1101 S. Goodwin Avenue, Urbana.
